"Wonderful Hotel" My husband and I recently completed a whirlwind tour of Europe and stayed at 16 different hotels over the course of a month. The Hirsch was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. We stayed at the Hirsch last week for two days and afterward agreed that we should have stayed longer. The day we checked in, we arrived early in the day and the front desk gave us a choice of a number of very nice rooms. We chose a charming larger room that had a rather small bathroom, but also had a lovely little alcove that had windows overlooking the square. The room was nicely decorated and was sparkling clean. All the staff we dealt with were warm and attentive. The restaurant was also wonderful and was decorated in Bavarian style. While not a luxury hotel, the Hirsch is a complete joy for those who have high standards for comfort, service, and aesthetics, but don't mind carrying their own bags and doing without room service and a swimming pool. Very highly recommended.
